I’m Alexandra Palombi, an Australian wedding, family and lifestyle photographer based in the South of France since 2018.
Photography started for me in purchasing my first SLR film camera at school. Continued to art school at University of South Australia to study Visual Communications where I learnt the art of the dark room & editing. I trained in the arts and spent many years painting, and have always drawn to light, people, emotion and the way a moment can hold a story. My love of photography and my art career started here.
Photography, for me, is memory keeping with soul. It is about connection, movement, feeling and the small in-between moments that often matter the most. My work is shaped by an artistic eye, a calm presence, and a deep respect for the people in front of my lens. I gently guide when needed, but mostly I allow space for real life to unfold.
Living in France has added another layer of beauty to what I do. I feel incredibly grateful that this career allows me to explore this country, meet people from all over the world, and document stories in places filled with history and atmosphere. I moved to France in 2018 with my partner Nick and our two daughters to begin his dream of building a wine brand. What started as a family leap across the world quietly became the place where my own creative life expanded too. Once our girls began school, I returned fully to my creative career and stepped into the world of weddings and family photography.
I also bring my Australian warmth and “can-do” spirit to every wedding and session, practical, positive and always ready for whatever the day brings.
